This past year has been pivotal. Alongside so many lessons, it has emphasised the need to be mindful + empathetic towards others and grateful when things go our way. I’m proud to partner with Samsung to share my story and encourage others be the best they can be. Check out my bio for a link to the full video.
Thursday feels: not cute. Body is tired... CNS is tired... Moody... if you left me alone for half an hour you’d probably find me curled up + fast asleep 😵 In the middle of a tough training block but happy that there’s only two more days of the training week 💪🏾👌🏾 #KeepPushing#Tokyo2020
Finishing the training week strong 💪🏾🙏🏾
I won the International Sports Press Association’s Column of the Year award 😭✨ what a shock!!
Thank you so much @AIPSmedia, and of course thank you to the @telegraphwomenssport for giving me the space to write freely.
Giving athletes the opportunity to publish our own stories in our own words is powerful. We feel more comfortable knowing that our message will be portrayed in a way thats true to our intention, and therefore more confident when speaking on delicate topics close to our hearts... take me and my column on racism as an example.
Thank you again. What a surprise! Swipe to read the piece in full.
This message will never not be relevant, but sadly it has been brought to the fore yet again in the past few weeks as we’ve seen the surge in anti-Asian hate crime in many countries across the world. We all have to stand up together and be not just ‘not racist’, but anti-racist and actively wage against hate.
Sending lots of love and I hope you’re all staying safe ♥️
Happy Mother’s Day to my amazingly beautiful, bright and brilliant mum 💕 I’m very lucky to have you.
(She will probably kill me for the last pic but you know what... it is what it is lmao)
A column that I wrote back in the summer has been shortlisted for The International Sports Press Association’s Column of the Year award 🙊
What an honour. This piece of writing meant a lot to me and I’m so happy that others loved it too. It was such a surprise to have been nominated and it feels special to have been recognised internationally for something ‘off track’. Thank you ♥️
Swipe to read it x
So... This has been over a year in the making and I’m so happy to bring you a new Müller Corner Creation by me 💕💕💕
It’s been created with lots of love and I hope that and it brightens your day - I know loads of us could do with some of that right now 😅😂
It’s Strawberry flavour yogurt 🍓 with 3 treats in the Corner - Strawberry Flavour Hearts, Raspberry Flavour Hearts + White Choco Balls 🧚🏾♀️
Hope that you are all well and have a great weekend xoxo
I’m so happy to be working with @bulgari to mark International Women’s Day and the launch of the new Bvlgari Bvlgari pendant. They have pledged to gift 10% of the necklace’s first month’s proceeds for me to donate to a charity that I admire. ⠀
It seemed pertinent to support those helping people who have experienced, and are experiencing, domestic abuse. For the past year home has meant to be the safest place for us but tragically it hasn’t been for all and still isn’t for so many.⠀
I chose Southall Black Sisters; a not-for-profit organisation that provides a safe environment for people trapped in abusive relationships or at risk of violence. SBS have done amazing work for over four decades, both directly helping people and campaigning for the provision of proper support services to help survivors live in dignity. And whilst they were established in 1979 to meet the needs of Black, South Asian and ethnic minority women, they will help anybody in need - irrespective of age, gender, ethnicity or sexual orientation.⠀
This is Bvlgari’s first ever customisable necklace and my one is engraved with ‘Kaizen’ which is a Japanese proverb that I just love. It focuses on the idea of continuous incremental improvement through efficient practices and I’ve applied it to my sporting and working life for a few years now 🌱⠀
It’s so important that in these times, when inequalities and difficult situations are exacerbated, that we support charities, big and small, as they often find themselves on the front line dealing with these crises alongside emergency services - especially in cases involving people that have No Recourse to Public Funds. I’m really happy that Bvlgari have wanted to donate to such a worthy organisation at this time. ⠀
Sending loads of ♥️ ⠀
