It was amazing to see @microsoft’s mixed reality technology bring Ancient Olympia back to life!
The HoloLens 2 allowed me to be placed in, and walk around, a UNESCO world heritage site which was so surreal.
I hope that you get to experience this for yourself someday!
very moody cover pic but I was in a good mood I promise 😂
cute night with my @hublot family earlier this week at Frameless London 💗
If you don’t already know, I am a huge History nerd and even got my degree in it at King’s.
I firmly believe that to understand where we are today and to move towards a better future we have to have a firm grasp of the past and the events that led us to where we are, and who we are, today.
So, when @microsoft asked me to experience the ‘Ancient Olympia: Common Grounds’ exhibition at the Athens Olympic Museum, I couldn’t say no, and truly had the most amazing time!
I remember watching Kelly Holmes and the men’s 4x100m at the Athens Games in 2004 and it was at that moment I knew that I wanted to compete in the games - to be part of that community and legacy of sporting excellence that started thousands of years ago.
Putting on the Microsoft HoloLens 2 instantly immersed me into Ancient Olympia where it stood 2,000 years ago 🤯 The mixed reality technology brought to life the ancient running track (which looked very long - deffo like over 200m in a straight line 😮💨 - would not have been amused if that was my discipline lol), the Statue of Zeus, and I even got to hold some of the structures in the palm of my hand!
It was amazing to have been transported to the ancient origins of the modern Games; a UNESCO world heritage site
My 8 year old self loved it, the History nerd in me loved it, and of course as a professional athlete and medalist, I felt so very connected to the roots of what we do and our place in History. Grateful for an incredible experience that meant so much to me ❤️ #microsoftpartner
⚡️high vibrations only ⚡️
first week back ft. sand dunes, nike events, nike collabs, conditioning, beaches but not the Caribbean kind 😪 + last week of eating / drinking exactly what I want #byebyeoffseason#seeyounextseptember
🖤a little Raf photo dump 🖤
first week back at training so I am a little 😵💫 and ache all over lol but also the first time in a long time that our little fashion dream team is back together.
truly missed my fash pack family so much missed their wild sense of humour, gorgeous spirits and the community’s endless creativity, fluidity and freedom.
whenever I spend time in this space I always feel inspired to be the most fabulous, truest and bravest version of myself, which undeniably bleeds into all things athletic and reminds me to keep dreaming bigger, aiming higher and to never allow myself to be defined by anyone other than myself.
love you all so much xxx

Everyday is a new starting line 😌
Nike and I threw a lil pop up event centred on well-being, togetherness + sprinting and it was such a vibe 😍😍
It looked stunning. @yinka_ilori did all the artwork - it was beautiful and such an uplifting and perfect fit, the food was sensational @jumbipeckham + @manni_o + his team kept us informed and our bodies in tact.
I gave a little blocks masterclass with @faithakinbileje, @niawedderburngoodison + @joyeze._ 🏾
And everyone got to take away a wellness inspired training diary which, crucially, included information about menstrual cycles and tips on how to train and eat around each phase to aid performance.
It’s been incredible to see the conversation around menstrual cycles and elite performance pick up after I mentioned it at the Europeans a few weeks ago.
I know that there are a lot of organisations doing amazing work in this area and it’s been phenomenal to see them get more exposure but I still genuinely believe that there is a lot more to be done, especially when we consider the elite end of the performance spectrum.
There are a few things in the works that I’ll talk about when the time is right… but for now I was so happy to see the diaries at our event include menstrual info and tracking stickers, helping to bring periods to the front of our minds when we’re considering factors that affect performance.
Thank you to @yinka_ilori for blessing us with your talents, @manni_o for your wisdom, my girl @doradontexplore for your energy, @lethallyher for your insight, creativity and expertise + of course @nikelondon for everything 🌞
Hope you’re all having a great Sunday xxxx
